Your day to day**

As a Housekeeping Supervisor,* you will be organizing employee shifts,
training and motivating team members, checking private and public areas for
tidiness. Ensure quality, safety and sanitation regulations are up to standard
and daily housekeeping operations run smoothly, sanitation regulations and
standards and create a warm atmosphere for a memorable guest
experience.*
* Monitor daily arrivals according to occupancy report in co-ordination with the Housekeeping Manager.
* *Handle and assist in department training and orientation of new joiners and conduct regular training to improve job performance, meet guidelines and standards of service and operation.**

* Guide the team on how to perform each task in the job description according to hotel service standard.
* Maintain regular and effective communication with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of housekeeping functions.

* *Confirm daily arrivals in occupancy report to determine allocation of tasks for Housekeeping Attendants.

* *Supervise and inspect the work of the team members ensuring high standard of order, hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic value throughout all service areas and assist when necessary.
* Is responsible for the immaculate appearance of all areas of responsibility and cares for all details.*
* Ensure room amenities and food amenities are placed in the room according to standard operating procedure during room inspection.

* Ensure team members have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective area of responsibilities.

* *Remove furniture, curtains and other fixtures, which require repair, replacement, spotting, waxing or cleaning.
* Inspect corridors and service areas as assigned to ensure high standard of order and cleanliness.*

* Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.

What we need from you

• Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to


• Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories

• Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential

• Literate and tech-savvy - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computers.

• Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.

• You'll have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential

• Experience - ideally, you'll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position.

• Strength - sometimes you'll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (‎23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling.
