Position Purpose
Maintaining strong business relationships with Maersk's strategic clients
while offering transportation and logistics solutions that add value to the
client's business, managing client expectations, and delivering positive
results to Maersk. Manage performance across the entire customer supply chain
of the account portfolio, covering the whole range of Maersk products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of client Portfolio and strategic initiatives
* Relationship management
* Entry point to customer for all levels of the client organization
* Establish / maintain Critical Success Factors
* Responsible for Customer Satisfaction - support the overall customer experience and support global value proposition
* Manage and develop the relationship with the contractual customer in line with Maersk/global strategy and Value Proposition
* Map and navigate the network of contacts within the customer, to ensure we deal with the right people at the right time to deliver short and long-term success
* Liaise with Management on strategic issues
* Develop local value proposition to be included on the global tender
* Drive improvement within the client's organization
* Selling Integrated logistics services including but not limited to:
* Ocean Freight
* Customs House Brokerage
* Insurance
* Intermodal / Ground Transportation
* Supply Chain Management & Value-Added Services
* Transload / Warehousing Services
* Monitor profitability
* Deliver client profitability as per budget
* Ensure successful tender process, business onboarding and contract compliance.
* Contract renewal negotiations
* Handling general enquiries / Special account handling when needed
* Resolve large and/or complex issues/problems
* It is the aim of management to utilize the Client Manager to gain synergy between all operating systems, finance, and business development groups within Maersk. In addition to gathering resources and coordinating developments within our own company, the Client Manager must communicate on many levels within the client's organization, often from front line customer service people up to CEO level.

Required experience & skills:
* Bachelor's degree is required
* Shipping/Logistics expertise
* External sales experience in transportation or logistics industry experience
* Business Understanding - Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of customer and Maersk's industry and market dynamics, value drivers, products, services, systems and business processes.
* Communication - Ability to convey, receive and share information to ensure mutual understanding internally and externally across all levels.
* Strategic Stakeholder management (Internal and External) with influencing capabilities.
* Excellent negotiation, listening, probing, and closing skills.
Preferred additional experience & skills which will be a plus:
* Supply chain expertise is preferred
* Consultative selling is preferred
* High-level product knowledge and Market knowledge
* Freight forwarders Experience (Working for Freight Forwarder or handling freight forwarder)
* Knowledge of UAE and African markets.
* Including how it solves different customer pains
* Master's degree
* Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and an ability to quickly adapt and work with new software.
