We are seeking a dynamic person to take on the Business Development Manager
role based in Jeddah.
Objective:
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for supporting,
developing, and administering business development plans and processes to
generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in
line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines, and
policies.
General Responsibilities:
* Identify, evaluate, and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals.
* Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Solution Design, operations, HR, IT, Real Estate, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input, and coordinate actions.
* Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings, and prepares information for decision-making.
* Develop and leverage constructive relationships within target accounts to gain access to key decision-makers.
* Manage the contract negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms.
* Preparing high-quality presentations that will add 'value' to the customers, develop new business, and maximize exposure for DPDHL amongst targeted prospects
* Developing the proposal with solution design graphics to enhance the proposed solution with the operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, the estimated value for the client.
* Use information and insights from market and feasibility studies to assess market potential.
* Identify new business development opportunities and initiate contact with prospects and matches these with DHL 's services.
* Sell the whole range of products (Air/Ocean/Land) or being dedicated towards one product.
* Ensure complete and current client information (potential, tradelines, decision-makers, record communication, etc.)
* Review the portfolio sales performance and prepares for sales meetings, weekly debriefs, and sales reviews.
* Keep up to date with local market trends.
* Identification of new business potential and customers according to the defined sales strategy
* Support marketing campaigns by visiting target customers.
* Ensure an adequate level of vigilance on customer payment behavior and help Credit Control collect payment.
* Pursue leads, conduct pre-proposal visitations, prepare proposals, and discuss terms of sale to close.
* Develop relationships with prospects and potential key accounts.
* Coordinate for meeting customer requests and selling services that are being promoted.
* May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
* Support and interact primarily with colleagues of their function.
* Build relationships and understand the customer and key stakeholders' interests and concerns.
* Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.
* Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others
Qualification:
* Bachelor 's degree in/focus on Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant education.
* Experience in international business.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing, transportation, and broader supply chain topics.
* Local Logistics Market & Competitor Knowledge.
* Solution design capabilities are essential for this role.
* A proven track record in new business development and account management position
