Manages the daily operations of Employee Relations Section. Provides advice,
counsel, and guidance to staff regarding their concerns issues. Conducts
research and investigations of complaints and lawsuits. Conducts reports and
data analysis surveys. Represents Hospital staff in external transactions.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties

‎1. Listens to employee grievances and concerns. Determines validity of
grievance with employee 's department head to resolve problems. Acts as
employee advocate, as required. Informs all concerned individuals of Hospital
policies and of any legal aspects of grievance. Maintains liaison with legal
staff to ensure adherence to the law of the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia.
‎2. Assists in the review of the conducted exit interviews of terminating
employees. Determines reason for employee resignation and if resignation was
avoidable. Determines pattern, causes or specific areas in their department
related to employee relations.
‎3. Conducts audit to evaluate personnel policies and practices related to
work performance and employer/employee relations by interviewing staff,
gathering related data and analysing information gathered; recommends
modifications as needed.
‎4. Assists in the review of laws and regulations pertaining to human
resources and labour relations activities.
‎5. Manages processing of interdepartmental transfers. Coordinates processing
of documents with departments and other Personnel sections.
‎6. Assists in overseeing the corrective action process, including
modifications and changes to policy and procedures.
‎7. Communicates timely and effectively to all levels of employees when issues
arise; handles group communication effectively, hearing all sides of issues
and demonstrating a calm, methodical approach to addressing concerns.
‎8. Investigates complaints and internal claims and communicates and follows
up with involved parties throughout the process to resolution.
‎9. Establishes work schedules for subordinates. Assigns work and changes
assignments as necessary. Checks work before and after completion to ensure
that it meets standards.
‎10. Evaluates performance of subordinates. Counsels subordinate to improve
performance.
‎11. Recommends disciplinary action. Determines subordinate training needs and
assists with training.
‎12. Ensures the accuracy of all transactions process in Employee Relations
Section.
‎13. Prepares reports and maintains statistics and analyses data for use of
senior management and Human Resources Services.
‎14. Manages all duties and functions of Employee Orientation and devises new
procedures to meet changing circumstances and needs.
‎15. Manages all process of Health Specialties Registration Unit's Duties
(HSRU), functions and responsibilities including financial operations and
evaluates all unit employees' performance. Assigns work and changes
assignments as necessary. Conducts on-board interviews.
‎16. Enforces the Management of Dignity in the Workplace's policy and
procedure to prevent any abusive conduct and workplace violence amongst all
employees in order to maintain a safe environment.
‎17. Conducts awareness education sessions/lectures among Hospital KSH&RC
(Gen. Org.) employees by educating the staff on positive workplace practices.


Education

Master 's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related
discipline is required.


Experience Required

Five (‎5) years of related experience including two (‎2) years in a managerial
position with Master 's or seven (‎7) years with Bachelor's Degree is required.
