As Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for reaching the commercial targets
agreed for a particular area. You work with and support local FS and S&P and
back office in determining the real customer need and developing and selling
FS and S&P. Besides that, you are commercially responsible for some dedicated
FS and S&P. You will report into the Sales Director.
Your main responsibilities are:
* As a GEA FS and S&P Area Sales Manager, you are focused on a specific region - ensuring the in-depth knowledge application as well as quality of the solutions offered in Convenience, Marination, Preparation, Processing, Smartpacker, Thermoformer Slicer and Spiral Freezer
* Coordinating the execution of the sales plan and developing sales strategies for the assigned area. Responsible for identifying, implementing 'operational sales plans' annually, and achieving the objectives in terms of sales and margins. Aim of this role is to drive the sales for pure FS and S&P customers and monitor the progress in other Industries for FS and S&P; justify their value and to increase our market share year on year, while meeting our customers' requirements.
* Establishing and implementing a structural market plan, in cooperation with the sales teams in FS and S&P, aimed at targeting and maintaining contacts with agents, customers and associates.
* Follow the sales process by taking responsibility for projects from initial concept to hand-over to service.
* Provide market input to Sales, Service, Innovation teams, through visit reports and monthly market reports.
* Integrate into the regional teams with an overview perspective of the business challenges and build up the FS and S&P knowledge in the regional teams.
Your Profile:
* You have a Bachelor or master's degree within a technical area (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
* You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant international work experience in a commercial position preferably in the food industry.
* Knowledge of account management, lead generation and relationship management
* First class consultative sales skills. Good understanding of Features and Benefits
* Knowledge of principles and processes for assessing customer processes, customer needs and customer satisfaction.
* Sound knowledge of the company's products and processes or similar technologies/industries.
* As a person, you are emphatic, energetic, and sharp, result driven, independent and you have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are down to earth and you have a pragmatic way of approaching your job and its tasks.
* You speak, write, and understand English and at least one other language prefers Arabic
* Last but not least, you are international oriented, and you are willing to travel circa 50% of your time.
