Job Description


Purpose:
*
Resource persons for Liner operational routines and customer services to the
extent where appropriate and applicable, liaise with shippers, receivers,
customs brokers, port authorities and/or various government regulatory
offices/agencies and other shipping agents with the objective to strengthen
customer relations, identify business opportunities and harmony within the
organization's inter-operational activities.
* Achieve operational excellence align with the principal 's business rules and standard.
* Ensure activities are proactively monitored for achievement of agreed productivity and KPI.

Interrelations:

*
Reporting directly to Head of Liner Division - Limassol
* Works with commercial and sales team

Formal authorities:

*
Act in accordance with Waypoint Port Service's overall values, business
strategies, policies and governance as described in our SOP.
* Act in accordance to documented processes and policies in conjunction to Customs Clearance agency services, local government regulatory offices/agencies rules and regulations as well as the principles of this functional description to the extent of to financially act within expenditure/budget limitations.

Main responsibilities:

*
Maintain monthly vessel schedule with day to day updates.
* Update stevedores with discharge baplie and bay plan.
* Ensure import and transhipment manifests & EDI received before ‎3 days prior arrival of each vessel. If not, keep following with regional office.
* Ensure import & transhipment manifest & edi are processed and translated by documentation team if required.
* Update collect freight and other charges to Local Liner System as per freight manifest.
* Check manifests closely for transhipment, SOC, HAZ; REFER containers and advice translation dept. accordingly.
* In case of hazardous cargo, update port safety/stevedores with Dg list/manifest.
* Cross check manifested containers with baplie for discrepancy and inform previous port agent and regional office accordingly to fix any issue.
* Handles transhipment cargoes. Arrange t/s bookings on first available vessel, including nomination with terminal, and processing of load permits.
* Ensure load permits are cleared after t/s cargoes has been loaded.
* Keep track on empty containers in CFS area, nominate on first available vessel without fail to avoid storage charges.
* Send weekly empty equipment inventory report to HSD, ECL for evacuation plan.
* Cross Check load plan received from planner with TBU to confirm loading and advice the stevedores accordingly.
* Make sure that all corrections/amendments on import manifest are applied by documentation team.
* Update load and discharge movements to CCS.
* Prepare a Terminal Departure Report upon receipt of vessel reports from stevedores and sent to the principals and partners.
* Responsible to maintain weekly and monthly vessel reports for liner department.
* Prepare monthly report to Finance Department.
* Prepare weekly and monthly statistic report to principals as per the agreed format and timeline.
* Monitor and coordinate repair of reefer malfunction and cross stuffing.
* Ensure smooth process of all operational activities in line with the requirement or principal.
* Assist and attend to other liner activities as per the instruction of Liner Agency Manager and General Manager.
* Support the Liner Manager and Country Manager in development of Liner agency by fostering good relationship with terminal operators, customers.

The Team Leader will be measured against:

Non-conformity related to corporate governance.
* Reporting as per company set regulations.
* KPI and business rules set by the principals and Waypoint Business standard

Main Qualifications:

*
Bachelor 's degree or proven experience in the related field.
* Ability to organise/co-ordinate and strong attention to lead the team .
* Fluent in English speaking, reading and writing.
* Experience in Liner industry or Logistics and Freight Forwarding operations. (Additional preferences)
* Have a valid driving license.
* Have a clean police conduct report.
* At ease with the latest IT solutions and able to handle smart phone technology.
* Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship building skills.
* Ease to communicate effectively and clearly.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Reliable, enthusiastic and professional ATTITUDE.
* Confident in relating to different organisational levels.
* Available to work outside normal working office hours, many times under stressful situations.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Organised, disciplined and strong personality.
* Result oriented.
