Job Summary/Purpose:
Manage the sales operations of Lubricants sales and maintain high customer
satisfaction levels to achieve the required growth in revenue.
Responsibilities:
Strategic:
* Prepare annual plans and budgets to meet the department's strategic objectives.
* Monitor implementation of the annual plans and measure achievements of results against the budgets and objectives and take corrective measures as appropriate.
* Recommend annual marketing and sales strategy, such as pricing, stock levels, product mix etc... in the area of lubricant sales
Operational:
* Assign targets to the sales team, follow up on targets, analyze variances and implement recommendations following approval by the Deputy General Manager P&A Sales and Business Director.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, retailers, and industrial clients. Understand their needs, provide product information and technical support, and address any concerns or issues that arise.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the lubricants market. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities, potential threats, and areas for business growth.
* Develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and generate leads. Collaborate with the marketing department to create sales materials, product presentations, and advertising campaigns.
* Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Prepare regular sales reports, including forecasts, sales pipeline analysis, and market insights, for presentation to senior management.
* Determine pricing strategies for different products and negotiate contracts or pricing agreements with customers. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure competitive pricing and value proposition.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure timely delivery of products, manage inventory levels, and resolve customer issues effectively.
* Keep customer master data and update customer database to focus on promotional activities and campaigns.
* Monitor stock inventory accuracy, stock order utilization, stock value, service rate as per dealer standards.
* Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and technical advancements related to lubricants. Provide technical support and training to sales team members and customers to enhance their understanding of product features and benefits.
* Keep a track record of SOP, KPI, Special orders, and take corrective actions if deviate from standards.
* Identify areas for improvement and recommend and follow up on implementation of kaizen ideas or suggestions.
* Motivate the sales team to implement SGA and other kaizen activities on a quarterly basis.
