Role Purpose
Responsible for the efficient implementation and maintain DHL standard and
procedures within the base operation of DHL service center according to the
work instructions given by operation supervisor / manger. Responsible for the

Principal Accountabilities
* To ensure at all times that all bookings entered in the system are converted from" Assign" status to "Dispatched" status within ‎3 minutes of the booking appearing on the Fleet Status screen.
* To debrief the service center couriers END of day according to Global-SOP procedures and standards.
* To process the material inbound/outbound according to the supervisor in charge instructions and Global SOP standard and procedures.
* Ensure that all shipment scanning and system requirements are completed as per standards, download of data is completed promptly to ensure ‎100% accurate and timely data to the network.
* Ensure that all-necessary paperwork for shipments associated with pick ups and deliveries is fully completed to DHL standards before the freight is sent to re-weigh to ensure perfect shipments.
* Maintain a proactive approach towards security of freight, facility and personnel and suggest smarter work practices that will ensure that through teamwork the staff meet all KPI standards and our customers are continually provided enhanced services.
* Ensure a high level of rapport and communication is maintained with both internal and external customers while promoting DHL's professional image.
* Promote and sell value added services like TDD, Import Express, and Insurance and participate actively in the Sales lead incentive program thus helping towards company revenue.
* To complete any adhoc Base Operations tasks as and when required.
* Comply with the ground operation global sop procedures as outlined in the manual and safe working practices both within and outside the workplace.
* Adhere to work timings, policies and procedures of the company, housekeeping guidelines and ensure that self is well groomed as per DHL dress code at all times.
* Ensure honesty and integrity in dealing with external/internal customers and implementation of DHL standard and procedures.
NATURE AND SCOPE
a) Context
The base operation agent is responsible of implementation of DHL standard and
procedures on a day-to-day basis, hence his accuracy and dedication in doing
his job strengthens DHL business relationship with customers.

Reports to Operation Supervisor.

d) Problem Solving
Manage the day-to-day issues, queries and reports of the operation supervisor,
colleagues and customers.
e) Decision Making
Can take decisions on individual run in terms of scheduling work load to
ensure deadlines and standards are met.
f) Planning and Organization
Organize his daily tasks, data download and paperwork are ‎100% completed as
per standards.
Plan a course of action to ensure that individual targets on sales leads are
met.
g) Job Challenge
Strive to meet his daily deadlines without comprising on service standard and
procedures and completion of internal procedures, such as scanning, loading of
data … etc.

* Prior experience in a service industry preferable
