Your day to day**

As a Purchasing Coordinator, you'll manage the purchasing, storing,
and distribution of operating equipment, supplies function, and food
and beverage inventories in support of the Hotel Operations. Will
also handle stores according to hotel policy.

General

• To research price, service and quality of operation requirements and recommend the best option to maximize pricing and quality in keeping with the Hotel's standards

• To document all orders on the Hotel Purchase Orders and liaise with department managers and suppliers regarding deliveries

• To report on actual and potential cost of food and beverage and inventory turnover on a per period basis.


• To supervise and administer the Micros point of sale system integrity with respect to reporting outlet revenues, cost analysis, financial reporting, systems security and day to day maintenance

• To respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all suppliers and colleagues' questions, complaints and/or requests.


• To establish and maintain the Hotel's integrity through a professional and good working relationship with suppliers

• To maintain an awareness of the latest market industry trends with relevance to the food operation as it relates to the kitchen operation and make recommendations to the Chef to improve costs while maintaining quality

• To direct and compile quarterly operating equipment inventories in accordance to Company requirements

• To conduct monthly operating supplies inventory, and purchase replacement of consumption

  ---

  
  


• Maintain the stock level. Place the order according to requirements .

• Receive items according to LPO. Properly arrange items in store and issue approved items.

• Post all the transfers and keep a record in the file.

• Focus on fast-moving & slow-moving items and report accordingly.

• Check the expiry date/ temperature and condition of products. And ensure to follow the first in first out policy.

• Always ensure that the stocks are available.

• Conduct internal inventory of beverage store .

  Guest Experience


• Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Respond to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner


• Review guest feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement


• Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP's, large groups, and other key guests


• Lead marketing efforts to up sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel's or owner's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain relations with outside contacts

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Candidate must have proficiency in English, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Ability to cope under pressure, manage unpredictable workloads and handle sensitive enquiries


• Bachelor's degree will be an advantage


• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
