Over view of the role
This role reports to the Director of Strategy and Planning. The role holder is
a key member of the Strategy & Planning leadership team and works across the
Al Futtaim Group in a matrix structure.
What you will do
Provide all stakeholders across the Auto Division with accurate and timely
operational KPI performance reporting on which business decisions can be made.
To drive profitability across the Auto Division through provision of timely,
accurate management and performance information.
Provide insights and execute recommendations for profitability improvement
(driving out cost or increasing revenue) through operational meetings with
business unit leadership and their teams and wider stakeholders (if required).
Performance Reporting
* Lead the development and implementation of automated operational KPI reporting by brand and location for the Auto Division (UAE).
* Design, execute and launch business unit and location reporting to include financial / P&L, as well as operational KPIs (UAE).
* Design, execute and launch a balanced scorecard to assess performance of locations across the Auto Division (UAE & International).
KPI Analysis and Feedback
* Analyse key performance data to identify trends by brand that may reflect inaccuracies in reporting.
* Collaborate cross functionally with key stakeholders to resolve data inaccuracies.
Profitability Improvement
* Chair "Knowledge Sharing Workshops" (KSWs) across all brands to identify inefficient business processes to drive out cost and identify revenue opportunities.
* Develop counter-measures to inefficient business processes and ensure sharing of best practice with the wider operational teams and business unit leadership.
* Champion collaboration and sharing activities in the monthly Network Development and performance review meetings to engage and challenge business MD's operational performance
Standards and Audits
* Act as custodian of Auto Division's retail, brand and corporate identity standards.
* Responsible for designing the audit process for all automotive business units.
* Regular audits of each dealership's retailing standards, branding and CI standards. Influencing business unit MDs to make changes necessary which will improve our customer experience and customer journey.
* Operate across the Auto Division in a matrix structure working with Business Units and their OEM Principals to assure that corporate identity and brand standards are followed.
Required Skills to be successful
* Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail, to identify key trends, connections and discrepancies within data
* Focus on driving commercial results through the management of intelligent and measurable KPIs
* Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes
* Commercially aware
* Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
* Comfortable with a range of analytics platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI and Qlik
* Time management and prioritisation to multi-task in a high demand, fast-paced environment
About the Team
The team is a group of 4 expetise on strategy and planing,highly motivated and
collaborative. The role will have with three direct reports.
What equips you for the role
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience • Master's
degree preferred
* Minimum 10 years overall experience in a multinational environment in leading Automotive brands.
* The candidate should have experience leading teams, both through direct line management and in a matrix set up.
* Ideally the candidate should have a strong experience in financial analysis and modelling.
* Experience and expertise in the Automotive field is preferred with knowledge of complete Auto business model and value chain.
* Commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and ability to create buy-in and influence at a senior level.
