The Product Merchandiser is responsible for the selection and purchasing of
relevant products for both retail as well as wholesale from individual
categories (based on our Own and Operated stores, partners ' needs, strategic
opportunities), while focusing on achieving business goals.
* Preparing predictions and plans based on individual collections and past/current data (the right product, price and place)
* Build a strong network across the Regions, Departments and within the internal team to maximise effectiveness and impact
* Being a part of translating and deploying a strategy for the company by knowing the specifics of certain markets, understanding trends and competition analysis
* Presenting products to our partners
* Preparing analyses and reports (based on individual business goals, time periods, etc.)
* Working on projects related to product promotions, launches with respective markets
* Market and opportunity analysis
* Sales monitoring, observing the market and reacting to its possible requirements (Timely reorders & consolidations)
* Preparing seasonal reports to keep track of sales performance
* Work closely with the retail sales team to understand voice of customer/trade via weekly store visits
To succeed in this position, you would be skilled in merchandise management
systems, reporting solutions and processes. Furthermore, we would like you to
have:
* Approximately ‎3 - ‎5 years' experience, ideally in product or retail departments (fashion, shoes, accessories, cosmetics)
* Strong intercultural communication skills, capable to advise and challenge with a flexible approach
* Strong commercial and analytical skills with a consumer centric mindset
* Effective communication across all levels of the organisation
* Highly organised and detailed in approach
* Strong team player who can gain and foster cross functional support
* The ability to prioritise a demanding workload and time manage effectively
* Business fluency in English (Written & Verbal), other languages would be an advantage.
* PC Literate with strong knowledge of Excel, Word and Power point( SAP will be an advantage)
* The willingness to travel across MEA region
