Job Summary
SPM Oil & Gas, A Caterpillar Company, are looking for a motivated and result-
driven Analyst to join their Eastern Hemisphere HR team. This role will assist
in compiling and analysing HR data related to the employee lifecycle,
including payroll administration. It will also provide HR administration
services across the Eastern Hemisphere of SPM Oil & Gas, with a particular
focus on the Middle East region.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Data analysis
o Assist in the creation and implementation of regular HR metric management.
o Analyze data and statistics for trends across the employee life cycle, e.g.
recruitment, engagement, turnover and compliance with employment laws.
o Compile reports for regular data tracking and one-off projects, e.g. monthly
scorecard and the employee insights survey, talent management and succession
planning.
o Recommend improvements to processes, procedures and policies that will
improve the work practices of the company and HR team.
Data management
o Become the regional expert on the HR Information System (Workday).
o Look for opportunities to optimizing and implementing new data processes and
systems.
HR administration
o Administration of the payroll with the supervision of the HR Business
Partner.
o Administration and support of employee requests and services in the
following areas; employee insights survey, leaves of absence, annual
performance and compensation process, employee relocation, benefits, time and
attendance, employee onboarding.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the role will work closely with the Eastern
Hemisphere HR team, and particularly the UAE, Kuwait and Oman HR Business
Partner. The role will also work with and employees and leaders in the Eastern
Hemisphere region and the Caterpillar corporate HR team.
Job Requirements
An expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, with the ability to create
charts, spreadsheets, and presentations with style. Successful candidates will
have experience of using information management systems to mine for data, and
of managing financial data or payrolls.
We are looking for candidates with excellent attention to detail and high
organization skills with excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving
ability. Candidates will need to have a passion for numbers and a good level
of business acumen with an interest in reviewing and improving processes,
procedures, and policies. The successful candidate will have excellent
communication skills and a focus on creating, and working as, a team.
