We are now looking to hire a logistics coordinator to be a part of our Fairs
and Events team in Dubai.
The logistics coordinate is responsible for supporting the planning and
execution of the event by coordinating with Internal and External stakeholders
to successfully fulfill the job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Operation
* Communicates with the External and Internal stakeholders regarding planning and execution of the event.
* Updates the manifest on regular basis
* Updates clearance & delivery status to overseas agents & exhibitors
* Provides on-site quotations to local exhibitors, clients, and collection of payment on site
* Actively engage with the operations and other departments in defining and documenting standard operating procedures for specific contracts as a part of the negotiation process
* Coordinates in ensuring all legal requirements are compiled safeguarding the interest of the company
* Works with clearance and operations teams to ensure smooth flow of shipments
* Manages equipment and manpower at site in a cost-effective manner
* Coordinates with suppliers and handling client queries throughout build up & breakdown of the event to ensure that everything runs smoothly
* General coordination at site - during build-up, breakdown and clearing the venue on time
* Timely re-export of shipments and updating the status to all concerned
* Maintains tracking records and timely submission of documents for refund process
* Timely invoicing and collection of payment
Others
* Elevates potential issues and opportunities for improvement to the Line Manager
* Assists and supports the Line Manager in effective implementation of policies and procedures
* Maintains positive relationship with Organizer, Overseas Agents Offices, Sub-contractors and other personnel for day-to-day operations.
* Any other related duties, projects assigned by the Line Manager from time to time in order to meet business needs
