Job description
Purpose
To support the establishment team with the commercial planning and the
commercial build-up of one or more areas of a new and/or existing IKEA store.
To optimize and improve the planning process by ensuring the adoption,
understanding and usage of the tools and systems for planning retail space and
home furnishing solutions. To secure a standard working method, that provides
qualitative products to support the markets with easy to implement copy and
adapt retail solutions. To drive an open and sharing climate, being a role
model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and
empowered.
Accountabilities
* By using IKEA Revit software program, library and templates, complete the commercial planning and compilation package within the set timeframe for assigned area
* Ensure consistency of the output from the IKEA design tool. Support deployment of releases with testing and verifying products functionality, issue coordination, and adaptation of learning/communication/process material.
* Connecting with Inter IKEA for latest updates, lessons, tools and know-how.
* Responsible for communicating functionality changes in tools to co-workers to ensure competence and knowledge of Revit tools and ways of working that are required within business, to secure high standards deliveries.
* Contributing to the planning process providing support and training to new and existing users during planning of retail solutions, to secure the understanding of how the tools are used in the process they are supporting.
* Ensure that tools are fit for purpose, and potential adaptation options and configurations are optimized to needs, by working closely with global representatives.
* Implement global standard working method in relation to the IKEA store planning applications and support the planning team with knowledge and competence to improve it.
* Secure the overview of the totality of the project and how they affect the layout in the store by keeping the responsibility of constantly updating master layouts for Showroom and Market hall.
* Compiling the build-up files and preparing documentation and action plan accordingly. Provide support in timely manner, by staying updated on the peak times of store planning and the deadlines they work towards.
Qualification
* Diploma or Bachelor degree in interior design, architecture or engineering.
Experience
* Retail and/or home furnishing experience
* Experience of working as an interior design or visual merchandise in an IKEA store
* Experience of working in a retail project planning and implementing and project management.
