We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer who would be
accountable for the routes studies, aircraft performance, flight planning
admin, EFB & technical library while complying with company standards and the
Kuwait DGCA regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Carry out route studies for new destinations
* Check suitability of aerodromes for the type of aircraft operated by the Company
* Selection of routes and alternates in liaison with Operations management as necessary
* Communicate with aircraft manufactures representatives for any operational requirements
* Maintaining FMS Navigation Data Base and Flight Planning System database
* Arranging route manuals and other operational documents necessary for the Company route network and their revisions as necessary
* Carry out Performance Observation Flights for validation of flight data and to establish Bias Factors for OFPs
* Prepare escape routes wherever it is required for the operations
* Maintaining library of all Technical Manuals and amendments for distribution to crew as delegated by Operations management
* Plan fuel budget based on data received from Network Planning department
* Monitoring aircraft fuel consumption and carrying out comparative studies
* Compiling historical fuel burn data and provide projections for Business Plans
* Compliance with company operational standards and requirements of Kuwait DGCA rules & regulations and, other applicable regulatory authorities that have jurisdiction over international operations conducted by the Company over the high seas or the territory of a state
* Carrying out performance analysis of all aircraft and preparing reports as and when required
* Reviewing of post flight documents, journey logs and other reports to take follow - up action on areas related performance
* Be an active member of the Fuel Efficiency Project and prime point of contact for data analysis and monitoring
* Maintaining close coordination with Flight Dispatch, Operations management and other departments for matters related to flight planning system, routes, NOTAMs, and aircraft documents
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft performance engineering functions.
* Manufacturer's Aircraft Performance Engineering Training on the type of Aircraft Operated.
* Thorough knowledge of the content of operational manuals, provisions of company AOC, regulations and standards related to safe operations.
* Performance Engineering skills.
* Weight and balance Engineering skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Working knowledge of MS-Office suite.
