Project Description:
The OSRA program is five-year USAID-funded project. The goal of the OSRA
program is to improve family health outcomes by reinforcing the national
family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) program in partnership with
the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP). The OSRA program will achieve
this purpose through the three pivotal results: 1) Women 's and men's uptake
and continuation of voluntary family planning services increased; 2) Youth
equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to make healthy life choices; and
3) Gender dynamics improved for enhanced voluntary family planning and
reproductive health outcomes. The OSRA program will closely collaborate with
different local stakeholders and other Government of Egypt (GOE) entities to
attain its results.
Job Summary : Maintains day-to-day accounts of the project office,
including preparing vouchers, maintaining books of accounts in the accounting
software and preparing and submitting monthly financial reports to the Head
office within the required timeframe. Reviews timesheets for payroll. Provides
administrative support for travel, record keeping, courier service, office
supplies, and maintenance of office equipment.
Key Job Outcomes:
* Financial Accounting: Handles petty cash and maintains cash book. Prepares vouchers, office expenses. Maintains bank records and book of accounts of projects. Dispatches checks and letters. Files records. Prepares fund forecast for the office and project expenditures.
* Monthly Office Reports (MOR): Prepares MORs of the head office.
* Statutory Audit: Supports the preparation of documents and statements for statutory audits.
* Payroll Services: Completes final check of timesheets of project office for their completeness.
* Administrative Support: Maintains project records and documents in head office. Coordinates courier services. Maintains office equipment. Maintains office supplies. Coordinates meetings and training sessions. Coordinates travel.
* Project Management and Participation. Leads, manages or participates on cross-functional project teams.
Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:
* Accounting Principles and Practices: Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Systems and Tools: Foundational knowledge of accounting and payroll management software.
* Payroll Practices: Foundational knowledge of payroll principles and practices.
* Data Analysis and Reporting. Foundational skills in completing data analysis and preparing reports.Equipment Operations:
* Foundational knowledge of office equipment operations and troubleshooting methods.
* Travel Coordination; Foundational knowledge of travel scheduling and accommodations.
* Request for Proposals/Bidding Process: Foundational knowledge of RFP/bid process.
* Reporting: Foundational knowledge of financial and administration reporting process and tools.
* Record Keeping: Foundational knowledge of record keeping processes, guidelines and practices.
* Events and Meeting Logistics: Foundational knowledge of meeting and training session coordination.
* Speaking Arabic
Minimally Required Education and Experience:
* Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related field, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required competencies.
* 3 years' experience in accounting for an organization, maintaining computerized accounts, verifying bills, and handling payments.
* Experience in office management or in role of administrative assistant.
* Prefer: Previous work experience in an NGO in the health sector.
