Inbound Logistics Executive

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Handle and follow up on receiving import shipment documents, Cargo, bank
documents from (treasury, purchasing department ) to start custom clearance
process; to ensure all custom clearance activities and day to day transactions
are aligned with the Company objectives, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Handling and following up receiving import shipment documents, Cargo, banking documents from (treasury, purchasing department ) to start custom clearance process.
* Responsible for accurate and timely coordination of inbound purchase orders, systematic receiving and final destination transfers while balancing internal operations schedules.
* Communicate with suppliers regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
* Ensure all custom clearance activities such as following upcoming Shipment, documents transactions and day-to-day related activities in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures
* Participate in the planning process in close cooperation with internal stakeholders
* Assist Purchasing Manager in evaluating optimal logistics solution, considering packaging type and size, lot size, use of distributors, transport, local customs regulations, local laws and regulations etc., for all RMs and communicate the findings to relevant GP Category Managers
* Assist Purchasing Manager in updating local parameters in Matrix in accordance with operational purchasing principles (under development)
* Assist Purchasing Manager in ensuring that supplier invoice control is carried out in line with company guidelines, relevant customs regulations and procedures are followed and facilitated and that all supplier invoices are paid within due date, for designated suppliers/categories
* Follow up and report to Purchasing Manager on agreed KPIs

* Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics
* Minimum ‎5 years of experience in Logistics & Custom Clearance
* Arabic & English Speakers is a must
