Inbound Logistics Section Head

Job purpose:
* Act as the focal point of contact between the centralized supply & demand team and the market by sharing the on-ground status for the orders and providing visibility for both the market and the supply & demand team with the actual supplied quantities every month.
* Accomplish the company logistics regarding import, export of samples processes and MOH activities ensuring the compliance framework is in place by Managing the process of shipping & customs clearance of the shipments at airports and ports and controlling spends according to the budget allocation
In this role you will …
* Work closely with the supply team ensuring supply and avoiding any out-of-stock risks.
* Share quantities to be supplied from each SKU during each month with the commercial team.
* Be a key player between the quality team and the warehouse team to ensure smooth release for all quarantine stocks.
* Manage orders with freight forwarder and making sure shipping on time.
* Drive savings across the logistics process and ensure container utilization.
* Be responsible for receiving all documents of importation for all MPTC products.
* Contribute to team efforts with freight forwarders for tracking of shipments, timely delivery as per planning with proper documentation and manage the free days of demurrage and storage as per our global agreement with the freight forwarder.
* Manage and control with our custom clearance agent in receiving consignments and clearance of shipments in appropriate time.
* Follow up all bank documents after reviewing the data per SKU and different sort of documents relevant to customs clearance.
* Contribute to team efforts by working closely with finance department concerning the documents and follow up until the end of the process and solving any pending issues.
* Follow up the approvals on the prepared documents from the Drug. Policy & Planning Centre and from the Pharmaceutical Affairs and from the Pharmacy Syndicate and finally send all these documents to the broker to start the process of clearance.
* Finalize other internal & regulatory process such us communication with the regional certificates team regarding the CPPs and GMPs.
* Follow up and control the delivery process of all the imported products to W/H
* Review the invoices of LSP, third parties and brokers before submitting to finance.
* Be responsible for availability of standard materials for Lab. Analysis from all quality GSK sites.
* Control & Follow-up the final release of all products from CAPA (Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs), NODCAR (National Organization for Drug Control and Research)
* Submit all the required documents and original documents such as Certified invoices and Euro ‎1
* Be responsible for samples, reference materials orders, and export samples for analysis.
* Communicate with freight forward to extend free days of demurrage and storage.
* Establish strong work process through KPIs.
* Monitor the current account of MPTC in customs authority & ensure the adherence to custom clearance compliance framework.
* Manage and control the financial budget for shipping & Custom clearance activities.
Why you?
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics or relevant education with same level
* Minimum ‎5 years of experience in a regulated industry (FFCG, Pharma, Biotech, etc.)
* Supply chain post grad certification will be plus.
* A solid background customs clearance, planning & scheduling activities in Egypt.
* Good understand or previous experience in budgeting and cost controlling.
* Fluency in English is a mandatory
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* SAP knowledge
