Technical Support Engineer

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6
months you will work toward completing?
A first-year you will undergo a substantial skills development training
program focused on learning our core products, tools & processes. After an
8-week onboarding program that includes some soft-skills trainings , you will
learn the skills and habits necessary to deliver unparalleled customer
experiences. Within 12 weeks, you will begin engaging directly with VMware
customers and partnering with them to resolve issues.
To be successful in this role, you must be a motivated self-starter and
resourceful learner, possess strong customer interaction and problem-solving
skills, and be able to prioritize multiple requests and work assignments. If

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements or
skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain, organize, and order general office supplies, including paper, pens, ink/toner, etc., to ensure teams have everything they need to succeed
* Schedule appointments, meetings, and reservations as needed
* Keep detailed meeting notes
* Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
* Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
* Develop and maintain a filing systems and databases in a confidential manner
* Receive invoices and review for accuracy
* Coordinate staff travel arrangements including transportation and accommodations
* Submit and reconcile expense reports
* Provide general support to visitors and point them in the right direction, answer inquiries, and create a welcoming environment
* Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
* Support in coordination of local committees and follow-up on deliverables
* Coordinate with supporting functions like facility management, IT, HR as necessary
* Help with presentation creation and marketing of VMware Egypt entity
Requirements:
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
* Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers
* Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
* Strong Stress Management skills

This position reports to a Technical Support Director based in our Cairo,
Egypt office but you will collaborate with teams from across the globe. Your
leader will provide guidance and coaching to help you achieve your maximum

Where is this role located?
The location of this role is based in our VMware office in Cairo, Egypt. Work
will be done from the office some days during the business week but can be
performed virtually from anywhere within Egypt.
