Job Profile Summary
BP Egypt is looking for an integrated geo-scientist to fill an exciting role
within the Egypt Renewal (Exploration) organization to help growing and
delivering the Egypt business. This role is located in Production & Operations
Exploration and the successful candidate will drive business value through the
consistent application of deep technical and functional expertise.

What you will deliver:
* Evaluation of exploration opportunities in a wide variety of plays and maturing viable prospects to drill readiness
* Participate in technical studies with ability to develop alternative interpretation scenarios, understand the impact of data uncertainty and risking on decision making
* Build and use appropriate geological tools and models, ensuring they are maintained, documented, and used to support the relevant activities
* Well planning experience and knowledge of drilling processes
* Provide input into management presentation and reports, as required, and participate in technical discussions with management and the wider subsurface and geoscience community to share best practice and coach less experienced geologists
* Build constructive relationship with authorities, JV partners and operators in a non-operated concessions to create value for BP & all involved
* Work within multi-disciplinary team, integrate geological products with the available geophysical, petrophysical, drilling and reservoir engineering data to understand the regional geology, structural styles, reservoir architectures/heterogeneity and hydrocarbon distribution
What You will need to be successful:
* Strong academic background with ‎7-‎11 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry
* Skillful in geology and comfortable working with multiple geoscience datasets
* Skillful Petrel user
* Excellent team player who is inclusive, collaborative, and open to honest feedback
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Eager to keep improving
