“Employee Relations and HR compliance Specialist ”
The central objective of Amazon’s Employee Relations team is to ensure fair
and respectful treatment of employees, consistent with our core business
values and objectives. This position requires an individual who has previous
employee and labor relations experience, subject matter knowledge, and strong
communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills that enables the
individual to work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee relations and
site support issues and projects.
Key job responsibilities
* Investigate highly sensitive HR issues, including: conducting claimant, witness, and accused employee interviews; analyzing data from various internal systems; composing investigation reports; proposing remedial action based on investigation findings
* Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
* Analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to HR and the business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues
* Partner in analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environment for Amazon Employees
* Consult and collaborate with business partners, Corporate ER teams, and Legal teams on complex employee investigations
* Develop deep knowledge of Amazon's HR policies and processes and regional HR obligations.
* Ensure that internal policies and processes are in line with labor law requirements
* Work closely with legal teams and global risk and compliance to remediate any compliance gaps and follow up with relevant stakeholders to closure
* Act as a consultant to HRBPs on different labor law matters
Knowledge of HR processes and risk and compliance management concepts is
expected.
