HMH is seeking a Managing Director who is self-motivated and focused on
achieving results. The role involves overseeing and leading our organization's
joint venture operations in Saudi Arabia, as well as devising and executing
effective business strategies and initiatives. Your entrepreneurial mindset
and ability to guide business functions will contribute to maintaining client
relationships, generating new business opportunities, enhancing staff
productivity, improving service quality, ensuring long-term viability, and
meeting overall business goals. The ideal candidate for this position will
have outstanding communication abilities, extensive expertise in various
business functions, exceptional financial and budgeting skills, customer
relationships in the drilling industry and exemplary leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Non-Functional Specific Senior Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to all departments, including but not limited to operations, sales, commercial, legal, finance, HR, etc.
* Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources (human, financial, and equipment) to maximize productivity and profitability.
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety policies & procedures, environmental regulations, and industry standards across all functions.
* Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency and optimize spend/costs.
* Client Relationship: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Team Development: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and coaching to drive employee engagement and growth creating the highest level of sense of belonging.
* Financial Oversight: Lead the process of developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures.
* Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the joint venture's long-term strategic plans and help implement and increase the IKTVA (in kingdom total value add) score.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, etc.) required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* ‎15+ years of oil and gas industry experience including extensive management experience.
* Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results.
* Strategic thinker with a track record of successful strategy implementation.
* Financial acumen and budget management experience.
* Proficiency in technology relevant to the oil and gas sector.
* Commitment to safety, sustainability, and ethical business practices.
