The Job Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide highly effective and cohesive technical
support and supervision for the timely delivery of operations and projects,
pertaining to the contract managed AV and IT, active network and
infrastructure, encompassing design, monitoring, installation and
configuration, planned reactive and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis
and remedial repairs which includes troubleshooting and managing all IT
infrastructure assets under the contractual remit.
Key accountabilities
Support the IT Manager to develop, manage and report integrated programme
schedules.
Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintaining the contract AV
and communication network infrastructure, and associated systems – including
switches, routers, servers and firewall.
Setup, calibration and technical support for AV systems, network services,
supporting backbone infrastructure, under the Project Agreement.
Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for users, systems and services.
Oversee and support network maintenance and troubleshoot tasks and be familiar
with the network infrastructure (cable and patch panels, hubs, switches,
router).
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers,
switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Ensure regular tests and standard repairs on the equipment to determine
operating reliability and efficiently as part of planned preventative
maintenance.
Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data
to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or
for disaster recovery purposes.

Ability to work with high integrity and minimum supervision.
A lively, energetic and strong personality a practical “can-do” attitude.
Expert skills in the use of project planning tools, e.g. Microsoft Project
Must be a highly effective communicator across all levels of the organisation.
Ability to develop and deliver standardised project reports and metrics, with
sound analytical skills
Well-developed negotiation skills with strong communication and interpersonal
skills, across all levels of the organisation.

Specific requirements ‎4 years minimum experience providing IT/AV support in
building services and/or FM environment. ‎4 years minimum experience in
development and implementation of best practice standards and processes. ‎3
years minimum experience in developing and customizing enterprise management
systems. ‎2 years Minimum experience as a Desktop Support Engineer role or in
an IT Support role (Middle East experience preferable). Experience in
supporting IT Services as per ITIL Service Management Standards. Six Sigma
certification is a preference (Yellow Belt/Green Belt/Black Belt).
