About the Role
As corporate representative the Business Development Manager role develops and
manages Lockheed Martin corporate engagement, business development, strategy
and coordination of government relationships across the Middle East region,
representing the full breadth of Lockheed Martin to senior leaders, customers,
partners and other key stakeholders. As a Regional Executive, the role
strengthens Lockheed Martin's image as one company and increases understanding
and support for Lockheed Martin goals, business pursuits and objectives across
the Middle East. This role will report directly to the Chief Executive and
General Manager of Lockheed Martin Middle East (LMME) in all BD and Regional
Government Affairs activities.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
* Establish and maintain positive productive relationships with international government acquisition authorities and end users within LMME
* Discovers and explores business opportunities.
* Assists in facilitating, conducting, coordinating, and guiding Lockheed Martin Middle East Business Development & Regional Government Affairs activities including the execution of business strategies, plans and procedures to support LMME and Business Area goals.
* Focuses on supporting the Chief Executive and Operations Director to meet critical schedules and tasks.
* Assists in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the policies and procedures concerning marketing LM products and services in the Missile East Region.
* Conduct frequent contact with equivalent level and higher managers, industry peers, and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules, contractual issues, and general overall performance of business development activities. Supports technical meetings for internal and external customers.
* Assists in the support to of Industrial Participation programs and projects.
* Participates in all OneLM activities to include establishing and administering LMSA projects and assignments.
* The candidate must work well in a virtual and in person environment and will be required to build relationships and strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
* Accomplishes results through support to the LMME team and the Business Area objectives in the region.
* Due to consistent exposure to the external customer, assists with coordination for Contracts and Commercial activities.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
* Demonstrated experience working with BD Executives and supporting related initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
* Experience working and creating opportunities within the defense industry.
* Experience dealing with relevant local and regional government entities
* Strong persistent interpersonal and communications skills with internal and external customers.
* Aspiration to learn & advance in Business Development.
* Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work flexible hours and travel.
* Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
* Proficient English speaker/writer and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
* Comfortable using a computer for various tasks. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
