Main Purpose:
Securing direct materials and handling the implementation of its purchases
according to company's standards at the best price, terms and ensure their
delivery on time and in full.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the full direct material purchasing cycle from releasing
purchase requisitions , issuing purchase orders, securing direct materials
requested by MRP, while sending released POs to the suppliers and tracking
their status to ensure on time and in full deliveries without errors and
ensuring that their payment transfers "Cheque/Bank Swift" are released on
time.
2. Manage the flexibility of materials' rescheduling to avoid shortage to
support MRP in controlling inventory stocks.
3. Analyse market trends and monitor commodities' prices to close new
contracts as well as screening new offers and negotiate prices to obtain
maximum cost saving within Edita's budget.
4. Sourcing for new suppliers and alternative materials for the current
materials to avoid sole sources as well as participating in new projects or
new product development in liaison with Marketing and R&D departments.
5. Lead localization/ direct sourcing projects to reduce lead time, costs,
and high inventory stocks.
6. Provide monthly financial reports for all raw materials spends as well as
updated database reports for all suppliers and raw materials.
7.Resolve received complaints related to raw materials, their storage
conditions or their expiry date approaches (SDR cycle)
8. Develop a good suppliers' relationship management by evaluating their
quality, lead-time, availability and cost.
Job Requirements:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business
Experience : 3-5 year of experience in a similar field.
Languages : Perfect command command of English language (Speaking, reading
and writing).

Working Days : 5 Days/week [Sunday Till Thursday]
Days Off : Two days/Week [Friday and Saturday]
Working Hours : 7:30am till 4:00pm
Working Environment : 30% Outdoors and 70% of standard office work
