The Associate Project Controls Specialist will provide support to the Project
Controls team for current projects and prospects supporting the planning and
scheduling, financial management, project reporting, change management &
progress measurement activities. The position will report directly to the
Project Managers for multiple projects and functionally to the Manager,
Project Controls.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Is responsible for setting up and maintaining communication with the disciplines in the Project team with the purpose of collecting as well as supplying information about the duties assigned to him/her.
* Assists the cost team in setting up internal and external cost reporting, forecasting and change management systems.
* The goal is to provide the best information to project management for timely decision-making and corrective action.
* Under supervision be able to prepare preliminary cost / quantity analysis, assist in setting-up and maintaining a change management system
Essential Qualifications and Education:
* ‎1-‎3 years within the construction industry.
* Preferably a two or four year college degree/diploma in engineering or construction management.
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) are required.
* Previous exposure to scheduling techniques and software.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office products; Excel, Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
* Familiar with estimating, scheduling, progress measurement and cost management techniques.
* Attentive to detail with data collection, recording and manipulation.
* Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
* Maintain key competencies associated with the Associate Project Controls function.
* Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken. Able to communicate fluently in English.
* Willing and able to travel (domestic & international) for business trips, meetings or training.
