ROLE SUMMARY


The Human Resources Manager acts as a strategic and proactive partner to
managers and employees by embedding strategies, processes and plans from HR
Function into day-to-day work, providing strategic and operational support and
advice to understand, manage and prioritize people needs and requirements
within the Area. They will be the key contact in the area to the HR Directors,
People Services and Centres of Excellences and partnering with the business to
ensure that local strategy is aligned with business requirements.


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the management and development
of the Area HR team, with particular emphasis on identification of potential
succession management.


JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Partner with the business leaders for the creation of people strategies within area, collaborating with Managers to understand current and future needs, and creating plans in alignment with Seadrill strategy to ensure achievement of objectives.

  • Manage the delivery of operational HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle (including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, well-being initiatives, organization restructures, exit processes, etc.).

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR Function programs and policies, providing feedback on local requirements and success of initiatives to ensure fit-for-purpose HR interventions.

  • Partner with Global HR Team and subject matter experts to understand, cascade and ensure implementation of HR initiatives in the area

  • Effectively leverage HR data and insights to inform people related decision making and program design for maximum impact.
    Development of the HR team, with particular emphasis on succession planning.

  • Advise on HR trends, changes in local HR/employment regulation, and opportunity that may impact business and work with business leaders and HR team for actions needed. Ensure Seadrill compliance with local labor regulations.

  • Drive the nationalization and local talent development in the area.

  • Promote effective communication channels within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS


Education



  • University degree in Business or Human Resource Management (or equivalent qualifications / experience)


EXPERIENCE



  • ‎6 plus years of HR experience in a drilling or related oil & gas industry operations, working with office and offshore/industrial workers

  • Strong experience in Operational HR: Saudi employment legislation, resolving labor law issues

  • Strong experience of business partnering senior stakeholders

  • Broad understanding of the HR lifecycle. Preferable experience working in several HR Areas/Functions

  • At least ‎3 years' experience in leading teams with coaching approach

  • Excellent knowledge in full spectrum of HR - employment lifecycle, labor legislation issues

    - Fluency in English (essential) and Arabic (desirable) - excellent
    communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
