Role Summary:
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply
chain from end to end and ensuring that the company has the resources
necessary to meet customer demands. You will work closely with both sales and
manufacturing teams to develop and implement effective supply chain
strategies. Additionally, you will leverage your analytical skills to monitor
inventory levels and make data-driven decisions that optimize the overall
supply chain performance.
Job Description:
* Bill of Materials (BOM) Coding and Data Management: Collaborate with our engineering and production teams to code and maintain accurate BOMs. Ensure that all data related to materials and components is up to date, accurate, and readily accessible.
* Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Implement MRP processes to guarantee the timely availability of materials for production, taking into account BOM accuracy and data integrity alongside with issuing necessary PRs.
* Capacity Planning: Develop and maintain capacity plans to optimize resources utilization and supporting production schedules.
* Collaboration and Scheduling Oversight: Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams to understand demand forecasts and production capacity and perform production scheduling to maintain seamless operations.
* Replenishment Strategies: Establish replenishment strategies and triggers based on demand patterns, lead times, and service level requirements.
* Inventory Optimization: Perform inventory analysis to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
* Supply Chain Modeling and Analysis: Create supply chain models and conduct scenario analysis to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
* KPI Identification and Dashboard Development: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations and set measurable targets. Develop and implement dashboards for monitoring and tracking KPIs, providing actionable insights to management, driven by precise data management.
* Data Analysis and Process Optimization: Utilize data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization, ensuring data integrity throughout.
* Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in supply chain management, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (CPIM or MIT Micromasters is a plus).
* Min. 2 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or related roles.
* Proven experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or related roles.
* Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and principles.
* Familiarity with capacity planning and S&OP; concepts.
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with datasets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive change.
* Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and experience in creating dashboards to monitor performance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant supply chain software tools. (SAP experience is a plus)
* Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
