Country Director - Ecommerce

digital businesses across the MENA regions with an explicit focus on frontier
markets.

Your Responsibilities
* Responsible for creating and delivering growth plans for the country
* Responsible for the country's P&L
* Being key strategic partner in growth funding plans
* Advocate of our customers and brand partners
* Deliver on key business critical metrics targets
* Inspire internal teams and external partners on the growth
* An ability to run both top-line revenue and profit growth as well as other key company targets
* Provides functional leadership and direction to teams on the business, operations, financial performance, customer care and marketing functions both internally and externally
* Be the focal point and driver for all things in the market
* Acts as a "sounding board" and provides support to the local Marketing Manager in marketing and PR plan creation
* Collaborates with the Delivery Team to Test and Launch different and innovative delivery experiences to delight customers
* Collaborates and works with the Partnerships team to create a roadmap of brands needed to onboard in each region based on growth targets
* Deep familiarity with marketplace business dynamics and scaling brands through community building across multiple geographies
* Category understanding of grocery retail, electronics, and the ecosystem around Fintech

Your Qualifications
* Postgraduate in management from a top tier business school (Nice to Have)
* Experience with a top tier strategy consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), banking (GS, JP Morgan), or PE/VC experience (must have)
* Minimum ‎5+ years of relevant business management experience, preferably in B2B or B2C E-Commerce industry either directly or indirectly
* Total work experience of ‎10+ years of which at least ‎3 years in the country/ MENA region
* Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (Nice to have) and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical, data and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use the information for analysis and reporting.
* Ability to drive and manage own tasks effectively; work independently and be an effective contributor to the team.
* Meticulous attention to detail and follow through.
* Extremely organized with superior time management skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize under tight schedules while maintaining production of high-quality work.
* Self-accountability to follow-through with proper consistent updates to stakeholders.
* Creative solutions driven mindset - the zeal to get things done attitude and willingness to get on the ground to collaborate with our stakeholders
* Effective project management - experience delivering on a multi-faceted projects with many stakeholders
