Associate Director - Country Lead, Upper Gulf role is responsible for the
commercial business in Upper Gulf region and reports to Sr. Director -
Metabolic BU, Gulf. The selected candidate will be responsible for
establishing customer value & exceptional customer experiences, meeting sales
targets & defined KPIs responsibly and ethically, demonstrating effective
business ownership & translating corporate / brand strategies to the customer-
level. The role will also be responsible for leading and effectively engaging
team members as well as partnering cross-functionally to achieve strong
business results. The successful candidate should be able to relocate to
Kuwait and successfully complete immigration formalities to receive work
authorization in Kuwait.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership : Establish/advance a sustainable competitive strategy ensuring alignment to corporate and regional strategies and global processes.
* Operation Leadership: Make decisions within guidelines of resource availability and functional objectives. Provide leadership to day-to-day operations while maintaining focus on the company 's strategic goals.
* Compliance: Lead and hold the country team members accountable for a culture of integrity. Have overall responsibility for meeting statutory and contractual regulatory and legal requirements.
* Winning Culture : Establish trust by modeling Lilly values and performance behaviors. Engage and motivate workforce through frequent interaction, a compelling vision and clearly communicated objectives and performance measures.
* Governance: Engage stakeholders in setting and delivering business objectives. Conduct governance meetings and operational reviews.
* Team Building : Facilitate the integration of functional components and establish/implement processes to foster teamwork and decision making.
* Talent Development: Oversee all hiring and training of team members. Leverage winning culture to make Lilly "an employer of choice" to attract and retain top talents to Lilly. Ensure viable succession plan and effectively coach employees of different levels and functions with regard to individual performance, management and leadership.
* Collaboration: Work with key business process owners (Medical, Marketing, Finance, HR, Compliance, legal, etc.) as and where needed.
* Team Management: Coach immediate internal team member towards achieving team and individual business objectives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree. MBA will be a plus.
* Prior experience of working in leadership roles
* Prior experience of brand/marketing leadership is a plus
* Prior DSM experience is a plus
* Prior regional/global responsibility and cross-country experience is a plus
