The Cash Operations Manager is an intermediate level role responsible for
ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination
with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to use technical
expertise and comprehension of how the team integrates with others in
improving efficiencies, completing deliverables efficiently, and accomplishing
overall objectives of cash management strategies.
Responsibilities:
* Recommend improvements to the daily workflow for a medium sized Cash and Trade Operations unit
* Recommend new work processes / technological improvements for cash management team in conjunction with identifying and resolving individual problems
* Carry-out non-routine cash and trade operations
* Evaluate performance and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, hiring, etc.
* Provide evaluative solutions for cash management issues based on analysis of information, precedent, and acquired technical experience
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
* Implement and develop an effective and robust control environment and maintain adherence to overall control framework through periodic control reviews and internal risk assessments. Participate in quality control reviews and assessments with second and third line of defense team and be able to implement sustainable control framework.
* Possess the ability to work closely with local and regional technology teams for project based implementation driven by regulatory and non-regulatory technology changes and possess analytical mindset to drive system enhancements.
* Develop effective backup structure within the local branch operations and be able to demonstrate ability to operate outside core job area with overall branch responsibility.
Qualifications:
* 5-7 years of experience in a related role in cash and trade operations and management
* Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance
* Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills
* Effective management, influencing and relationship skills
* Experience of working on local RTGS and system enhancements projects will be an added advantage. Experience and knowledge of local and cross border payment processing is relevant to the job posting.
Education:
* Bachelor 's/University degree or equivalent experience
