Job Summary:

The Department of Biotechnology in the School of Arts and Sciences at the
American University of Ras al Khaimah (AURAK) seeks to hire a full-time
faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank starting Fall ‎2023 (mid-
August). Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Forensic Science
or other related discipline. Prior successful teaching experience at the
university level employing high-impact educational practices to promote active

Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Teaching undergraduate courses related to Forensics, DNA Profiling, Genetics, Crime Scene Investigation and Molecular Biology.
* Developing or continuing to advance an internationally recognized research program.
* Participating in Department, School of Arts and Sciences, and University committees.
* Participating in outreach activities, such as workshops and seminars.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* A doctoral degree in Forensic Science, or any other related discipline, from an accredited institution of higher education.
* Effective oral and written English communication skills.
* Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices at the university level, and excellence in scholarship activities.
* Experience in working effectively with a diverse student population.
* Ability to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
* Experience with professional accreditation requirements.
