Job Purpose: Job Outline: Perform monthly reviews and pre finance review tasks
for the assigned stations and cover the specific areas comprehensively,
highlight areas of concern and ensure any red flags are addressed promptly and
escalated as required. Compute the Outstation Control Framework (OCF) risk
ratings on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance by stations as per the
procedures laid down in the Finance & Accounting Procedures Manual for
Overseas Stations (FAMOVS) through the monthly review process. Job
Accountabilites: - Conduct monthly review of assigned stations by generating
and compiling the Business Intelligence Application reports, Bank
Reconciliation statements, Finance costs, General Ledger Nominals, Finance Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs). Query the stations in an appropriate manner and
ensure that there is adequate explanation for any deviation / variance. -
Conduct extensive analysis to ensure that the monthly review performed is of
high quality. Highlight any deviations and discuss with Regional Finance
Manager Outstations (RFMO) accordingly. Suggest and implement improvements to
the monthly review procedures so that they are performed efficiently. - Ensure
monthly review is performed in the agreed format and for the specified
stations in a timely manner. Ensure that all exceptions are highlighted and
discussed with the Manager Finance Outstation (MFO). Appropriate corrective
action to be initiated as required with the station. - Perform a review of the
OCF ratings of the assigned stations. Retain the basis for such scoring and
provide the variance explanation in a clear and comprehensive manner. - Ensure
that all issues identified by monthly review are captured in the Issue
Repository maintained by OF&RM. Follow up on all open issues with the station,
and ensure to obtain appropriate evidence and close them on time. Escalate to
line manager where open issues have not progressed in a timely manner. -
Ensure appropriate analysis and data mining techniques are applied while
providing support to MFO in active corporate projects. - Provide regular
analytical support to RFMO on finance review tasks for assigned station which
are carried out at the headquarters.
Qualifications & Experience: Finance & Insurance.Accounts : 3+ Years Degree or
Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Qualified accounts (CPA, CIMA, CA) - preferred
Experience in a Finance or Audit Function Knowledge/skills: Sound Accounting
knowledge Adequate ERP skills (Oracle / SAP or similar) to perform the role
