Finance Officer

Job Purpose: JOB PURPOSE To provide dedicated financial support to the dnata
Airport Operations network by: § Ensuring that all income and income and
expenses are effectively managed and controlled through the provision of
accurate financial information and the analysis and tracking of cost and
expenditure § Enhancing performance monitoring through production of standard
business performance reports identifying the key issues, KPIs for exception
reporting to the management and provide subject specific reports that enable
more granular understanding of the key drivers that impact cost and revenue §
Acting as an effective conduit between the international businesses and the
senior AO leadership team in Dubai as well as the various Emirates Group
finance support functions (including Group Finance, Corporate Treasury and
Taxation and Internal Audit). § Implementation of improved financial reporting
tools and processes across the IAO network - Providing financial decision
analysis recommendations to the business RESPONSIBILITIES § Involved in the
month end reporting cycle; review of international business submissions
including monthly results, rolling forecast and cash flow. Also includes head
office entries and value added commentary on variances § Assist in
consolidated reporting of data across all international businesses, including
but not limited to, cash flow, variance analysis, capital expenditure and
debtors § Provide front line advice to complete the annual budget submission
for timely completion of budget consolidation. Provide back up evidence to
BFMs/FMs with detailed analysis, in order to appropriately challenge budget
assumptions § Assist the business in establishing end to end financial
accounting procedures consequent to new initiatives or new information and
provide data capture for new analysis needs § Provide robust challenge to
local management on all financial submissions, business cases and plans prior
to final approval and HQ review § Work with Internal Audit team and local
CFO's to ensure appropriate financial controls and risk management frameworks
are implemented across all international businesses § Engage and manage key
stakeholders of Group finance functions including Shared service, Insurance
and Treasury § Manage the accounting activities to ensure the monthly and
annual accounts are accurate and up-to-date in line with the accounting
standards of the Emirates Group § Partner with the international business to
perform the financial evaluation of business project proposals, ensuring that
the financial returns are commercially and financially viable and within any
set benchmarks
Qualifications & Experience: Qualification / Experience / Knowledge / Skills -
Degree or Honours (‎12+‎3 or equivalent) - More than ‎5 years of Finance
management & Insurance - Proficiency in the use of office automation software
like Excel, Word, Access to be able to prepare and analyse reports. -
Commercial appreciation and good communication and interpersonal skills to
work with various levels ofmanagement and external/internal customers. -
Numerate with analytical skills to interpret complex information and reports
