Job Overview
Under the guidance of the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will
plan, manage & execute logistical activities to facilitate the optimum
delivery of projects, internally & externally, local & international. This
includes utilizing various resources and coordinating the efforts of team
members, internal departments, as well as suppliers, to deliver projects
according to plan, timescale & budgetary targets.
Main Accountabilities (list is non exhaustive) :

Stakeholder Management

• Attend meetings with stakeholders to plan, manage & execute logistical activities related to delivering projects.


• Consult with all internal stakeholders on day-to-day basis for on-site plant, equipment & shipment needs, as well as the reporting on progress of ongoing request.


• Ensures that Electra' & any sub-contract drivers/operators are respecting and strictly adhering to all OH&S rules & regulations, always.

Equipment Handling

• Responsible for handling all plant & equipment (inhouse & on sites).


• Coordinate regarding specification needs, breakdowns, delivery & off hiring.


• Identify cost saving methods during usage of the site plant & equipment, such as clubbing the request and control of equipment idling, etc. Target is 'zero' idling hours.


• Monitor all plant & equipment's quality and conditions for safe operations.


• Ensure all plant & equipment complies with safety requirements, like RTA, etc.


• Manage and maintain all of Electra' plant & equipment such as arranging maintenance, cost recording, registrations, certifications, etc.
  Shipment handling


• Responsible for international shipments (Road/Sea/Air). Specific focus on GCC.


• Close coordination with appointed freight forwarders & booking of transporters.


• Responsible for shipment tracking and documents follow up. End-to-End.


• Create/coordinate all PL (packing lists), Delivery Notes (DN), Invoices, COO, etc. related to shipments.


• Plan, manage & execute safe vehicle loading and unloading.


• Ensure loading optimization to eliminating obsolete shipments


• Support site teams with material follow up & transporter coordination.


• Responsible to handle NAV (DN, Invoice and PO') related to logistical activities.


• Any other task, as reasonably requested, by the company, including assisting team members in periods of absence.
  General Obligations towards Health and Safety Environment


• You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company.


• You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company.


• You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.


• You will perform all tasks set forth by safety regulations and cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and conditions that do not pose any risks in terms of health and safety.
  Technical & Functional Skills:


• Good knowledge of end-to-end logistical operations.


• Good knowledge of GCC road rules & regulations.


• Good knowledge of GCC supply market for related activities.


• Good knowledge of plant & equipment handling.


• Good knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacements.


• Basic knowledge of mechanical issues.


• Strong understanding of compliance and risk management.


• Strong understanding of safety culture and management.


• Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records
  Knowledge & Experience:


• ‎3 years in a similar role.


• Degree (‎12+‎3 or Equivalent). Professional qualification in Logistics & Transport (ex. CILT, or CLTD, or equivalent).


• MS/Applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).


• Knowledge of ERP systems.


• Advanced English Speaking, Reading & Writing (Hindi, Urdu, Arabic is beneficial).

  Additional Information:


• Should possess valid UAE light vehicle driving license.


• Should be able to work on weekends and late hours.


• Should be able to travel within any GCC countries to attend duties.
