We are seeking a top-quality Accounts Assistant for our Dubai Office.
Candidates must reside in Dubai to be considered for this position. You must
be a high calibre professional, keen to work as part of our team, and assist
our Accountant on a daily basis.
The Role*
* Proficient in all accounting transactions
* Maintaining accounting records, making copies of supporting documents, filing documents, etc.
* Handling petty cash and bank deposits (cash / cheques, etc)
* Receiving and processing all invoices from suppliers, including reconciliation based on the Local Purchase Order (LPO)
* Preparing of proforma and tax invoices, receipts, and credit control
* Handling Vendor Portals ('SAP Ariba') and Registrations - Knowledge on this is required
* Assisting the Accountant in debt collection (via telephone or email), and preparing monthly Statement Of Account for clients based on the debtors aging list
* Assisting and finalising in the preparation of tax returns and compliance reports
* Performing other accounting and finance-related duties as required
* Assisting and supporting the Accountant during the annual audit
The Key Competencies We Seek Are:
Excellent organizational skills; great attention to detail; good with numbers
and figures and an analytical acumen; good understanding of accounting and
financial reporting, and auditing principles and practices; excellent
knowledge of MS Office and accounting packages, or relevant.
You also need to be able to work well under pressure and work effectively
within a team.
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as an Accounts Assistant, or a similar role in
the UAE.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Higher. Preferably knowledge of
'Sage' accounting package, and other accounting software.
The working week is five days - Monday to Friday. However, candidates will be
expected to work hard to meet deadlines. If this means putting in extra hours
at times, then you should be prepared to do this.
