Supervise a team of Purchase & Inventory Control staff with the objective of
ensuring high level of Parts availability/Service rate with Optimum Inventory
levels for Commercial Vehicles and Heavy equipment machinery parts.
Operational:
1. Sales analysis, Demand planning and Inventory Control: As per laid down
frequency, to place Stock orders for existing and newly registered parts
considering factors like demand history, Age and model applications of parts,
Lost Sales, On Hand & On Order, Supply Lead time etc. and submission to the
Head of Purchase and Inventory for approval.
2. Plan for Stock Orders of Seasonal parts for key franchises well in time to
ensure timely stock availability during peak season.
3. Identify mismatches between Purchase Order and Supplier Invoice and report
discrepancies to the Head of Purchase and Inventory for taking up with the
supplier.
4. Maintain high accuracy of Material Master, Supplier Master and Inventory
Data
5. Maintain & monitor optimum Inventory levels to fulfill the Workshop and
Retail Counter demand.
6. Handle all Local Purchases effectively: Review Requisitions, Create Local
Purchase Orders & send to Head of Purchase and Inventory for review /
approval. Ensure Compliance with Company & Department Policies.
7. Liaise with Suppliers to resolve issues pertaining to Delivery, Quality,
and Price etc.
8. Coordinate with the concerned for smooth Inbound Logistics operations and
for timely release of payments for suppliers.
9. Conduct Annual Inventory - Stock taking for all outlets. Prepare Non-
Moving Lines Data for Stock Disposal Activity.
10. Prepare, analyze & submit MIS reports (Weekly / Monthly) on Lost Sales,
Service Rate & Stock Month to Head of Purchase and Inventory & suggest process
improvements.
11. Identify operational problems and suggest KAIZEN activity plan to Head of
Purchase and Inventory.
People Management:
1. Assign duties and monitor the performance of team members with a focus on
accuracy, neatness, and compliance to company policies and procedures.
2. Monitor staff attendance and report absence and attendance exceptions and
prepare annual leave plan.
3. Explain and advise staff on Group policy, quality standards and ensure
adherence to health and safety standards.
4. Provide on the job training and coaching to staff by sharing knowledge
necessary to carry out their jobs.
5. Address staff grievances by escalation to Head of Purchase and Inventory.
Educational Qualifications and Experience: B.E. / B Tech / Diploma in
Automobile/Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in
Purchase and Inventory Control functions of Commercial Vehicle & Heavy
Equipment spare parts
Excellent Product knowledge of Commercial Vehicles and Heavy equipment brands
Well versed with the complexity of managing the Spare parts Inventory of Heavy
equipment and Commercial Vehicles
SAP working experience would be an added advantage
A proven team player capable of leading the team effectively and possessing
adequate training skills
Fluency in English is a Must and in Arabic would be an Asset.
