Job Description
JOB SUMMARY (or PURPOSE):
To provide end-to-end project management for all CR projects involving DA;
take complete ownership of a project in the context of resourcing, quality,
cost and timelines.
* Projects to be completed within the required time, approved budget and to the required quality standards.
* Responsible for resource levels and achieving deliverables within each project.
* Resolve all queries/ issues as they arise as a matter of priority.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
TRAINING:
* To recruit, train, manage and motivate, and where necessary re-train, sufficient supervisors to meet our survey needs and to allow for supervisor unavailability (i.e. during sickness and leave).
Training to be conducted as per Nielsen Standards, training agenda and
manuals.
* To ensure all staff reporting to this position understands the Nielsen Code of Conduct and Field Standards and Policies, including confidentiality and security requirements.
PROJECT:
* Provide a full project management service to CS/ PD.
* Act as the DA single point of contact for CS project teams.
* To liaise with CS/ PD, Field Supervisors, IQC and GO regarding project queries, feedback, and any enhancements to ensure all projects are processed with the agreed specifications, budget and timeframe.
* To pre-approve and organize client visits to field.
* RFQ, Costing & Booking Form
* Assist CS with all queries regarding proposals/ costing of projects.
* Provides recommendations to CS/ PD on complex methodologies, sample design etc.
* Review project budgets to ensure that they are logical and sensible for the job specifications, if not then organize a review and agree changes with the CS/ PD.
* Check the Booking Form for all projects and complete any planning requirements
* Ensure all confirmed fieldwork projects have agreed specifications including fieldwork timing, dispatch schedules, budgets etc.
* Advises CS project teams on the impact of change of project specs and get CS sign off if timeline/ budget changed
* Planning
* Provides input to questionnaire design, sample plan, quotas and timeline to CS project teams from data collection perspective
* Liaise with the Field Supervisor regarding maintaining effective resource levels. I.e. interviewing and supervisory team.
* To ensure the ratio of Supervisor to Interviewers is 1 to 10 maximum.
* Schedule adequate internal resource to ensure project deadlines are met.
* Identify critical success indicators for each project, and make sure the Field Supervisors are aware of them.
* Project Questionnaire/ Materials
* Review questionnaires and other materials provided by researchers, undertake a detailed sense check and advise on improvements if appropriate.
* In conjunction with the CS/ PD, design interviewer briefings on the larger, more complex jobs, and conduct these briefings. Assist the Field Supervisor to conduct interviewer briefings for the less complex jobs.
* Liaise with CS/ PD to ensure the questionnaire, support materials and Interviewer Briefing notes are available within the agreed time frame. Proactively chase CS/ PD if need be.
* Confidentiality/ Security and Concept and Product
* Ensure all project requirements (NDA, concept/product handling, storage, retrieval and disposal etc.) are aligned with the Concept and Product Security SOP.
* Project Monitoring
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Watch Builder standards, project specification; quality output, on time and where necessary nominating resources to achieve this.
* Regularly review the progress of each job assigned, and plan and suggest (via Field Supervisor & CS/ PD) corrective action if there is any indication that the project deviates from the original spec, budget or time. Initiate corrective action where required.
* Ensure progressive reporting to CS/ PD as required, on job progress, job queries, job costs. Such reporting should be done in a timely manner, so that the CS/ PD have enough time to make changes or negotiate changes with their client.
* Provide feedback to the CS/ PD on queries raised by Field interviewers or Supervisors
* Ensure all quality checks are aligned to the CR BASES DA Offline Quality & Process Control SOP.
* Coordination with QC and GO for Quality Checks and on time data delivery.
* Post Field: ensure a project summary is completed for all projects. Review, action and close.
* Outsourcing (if applicable)
* All offline outsourcing activities are to align with the Vendor Sourcing and Accreditation/ Vendor Data Collection SOP
GENERAL
* Monitor productivity, Supervisor & Interviewer (interviewer via Response Rates, DQA, dept KPI's etc.) maintain documentation, and action feedback and document all performance and disciplinary issues
* Maintain knowledge, support and action all procedural and policy changes introduced into Field
* Provide support, recognition and feedback to the Supervisors to improve morale and assist them to achieve their potential.
* Provide assistance and support to Supervisors to enable a continuous improvement programme is supported and developed.
* Be aware of Health and Safety requirements, relating to Field and ensure all work is completed within these requirements.
* If applicable: to act as domain expert for select methodologies or key clients.
* Develop knowledge of market research methodologies and changes impacting on the industry. Contribute to the overall management and coordination of the Field teams, encouraging and pro-actively contributing to business process improvement and seeking alternative methods for achieving service requirements.
* Check and approve payments.

* A sound knowledge of the interviewing process.
