Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first ‎6-‎12
months you will work toward completing?
* As a Project Manager, you will use your project management and customer facing experience to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control VMware Carbon Black security projects to successful completion.
* You will work directly with account managers, customer success staff, technical support, and technical consultants to ensure projects are executed and delivered in alignment with the scope of work and project plan. This will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills as you enable customers to achieve their desired outcomes and promote their overall satisfaction within their VMware Carbon Black customer journey experience.
* Within ‎1 month of employment and during on-boarding, you will receive extensive training on the VMware Carbon Black product portfolio and assigned a mentor as you progress through Carbon Black specific delivery methodology and process learnings. You will also be introduced to key personnel within the organization and begin shadowing active delivery projects.
* Within ‎2 months of employment, you will begin taking responsibility for a limited portfolio of projects where you will successfully leverage your experience and Carbon Black specific knowledge gained during onboarding to deliver successful business outcomes.
* Within ‎4 months of employment, your portfolio will continue to expand across all VMware Carbon Black product offerings and service delivery types; Small- to mid-sized standard packaged engagements and complex or custom Statement of Work (SOW) engagements.
* Within ‎6 months of employment, you will effectively manage a full portfolio of products across all VMware Carbon Black products and demonstrate value-add contributions to organizational goals in the realm of continuous improvement initiatives.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or
skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
* Ensure adherence to the VMware Carbon Black Project Delivery Methodology across all project phases. To highlight:
* Initiation: Obtain or confirm resource assignment, confirm operational back-office setup, confirm license provisioning, conduct Sales hand-off call, provide PS welcome email for KickOff scheduling, provide initial revenue forecast
* Planning: Create project plan and WBS, create communication and stakeholder management plan, create RAID matrices, identify initial risks and develop mitigation strategies, confirm revenue forecast
* Execution: Direct and manage project work. Provide timely and concise project status updates. Maintain accurate revenue forecast.
* Monitoring & Controlling: Control scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Perform change control activities and project escalations. Ensure services and deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Closing: Conduct project closure activities. Obtain project acceptance and ensure revenue capture. Identify CSAT survey participants. Provide lessons learned for continuous improvement. Conduct hand-off activities with account team and support organization for seamless transition and a "One VMware" customer experience.
* Project Managers are expected to successfully:
* Lead teams and complex projects for top-tier customers across all industries - commercial, industrial, banking, educational, non-profit, and government.
* Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to timely achieve project objectives.
* Strengthen teamwork by fostering trust, commitment, accountability, and attention to results.
* Build and develop customer relationships with the goal of being a trusted advisor.
* Anticipate customer needs by asking thoughtful questions and mitigating risk before they become escalated issues.
* Promote additional products and services the customer would benefit.
* Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
* Serve as a VMware Carbon Black brand ambassador to extend further engagement opportunities mutual benefit.

What is the structure and culture of the team like?
This position reports directly to the Director of Project Management and will
be one of ‎10 Project Managers worldwide. To be successful in this role 's
customer-facing capacity, it helps to be like an orchestral music conductor.
The Project Manager is an individual contributor who must ensure various
stakeholders are working in harmony to deliver a service that will delight the
customer. To be successful in this role's internal-facing capacity, it helps
to be both a good teammate to your peers as well as to be ready to take the
lead when the need arises. The team's culture is one of responsibility,
