* Purpose of the Consultancy
To support countries in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) to build and
enhance their capacities on travel health and to develop roadmap on
establishing/enhancing travel health programs in countries.
The objective of this consultancy is providing technical support to the
Eastern Mediterranean Region in areas of travel health and to develop policy
brief, clear roadmap and deliver webinar on travel health to EMR countries.
End date: 31 July 2023

Develop a roadmap with clear actions for establishing and enhancing travel health programs in countries of the Region based on the discussion during the regional meeting.

Specific requirements
* Education:
Essential
* Master's degree in biological science, public health or related domain
Desirable
* Post graduate diploma in travel medicine, training in one or more of the following fields: health surveillance, public health, emergency preparedness, travel and health, Point of Entry capacities
Demonstrated international experience, in particular working at country-level.
Skills / Technical skills and knowledge:
Essential :
* Demonstrated capacity to work within different cultures,
* Demonstrated ability to interact in complex situations involving technical, cultural and political elements,
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
* Demonstrated understanding of the IHR (2005),
Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages.

Medical clearance
The selected Consultant will be expected to provide a medical certificate of
fitness for work.
9. Travel
The Consultant is expected to travel. Destination and duration of
travel will be identified through the progress work identified in-countries.
All travel arrangements will be made by WHO - WHO will not be
responsible for tickets purchased by the Consultant without the express, prior
authorization of WHO. While on mission under the terms of this consultancy,
the Consultant will receive subsistence allowance .
Visas requirements: it is the consultant 's responsibility to fulfill
visa requirements and ask for visa support letter(s) if needed.
