Responsibilities, Duties, and Tasks:
* Deploy and maintain all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems and VPN.
* Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and networks traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution.
* Monitor bandwidth use analyses traffic patterns and volumes and determine impact / implications of issues then troubleshoot network performance issues if found.
* Troubleshoot problems affecting performance tuning, network administration and application conflicts.
* Keep updates with network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
* Manage all networks hardware and equipment, including LAN switch configuration, routers.
* Troubleshoot and administer a network setup by resolving and documenting network problems.
* Perform system backups for all security solutions configurations and networks configurations.
* Control access to the network.
* Perform server and security audits.
* Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
* Manage and monitor Cisco IP telephony solution with landline gateways.
* Collect and analyse data to optimize network performance inside internal network.
* Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses to identify areas of improvement.
* Provide technical support to end users.
* Instal and monitor Anti-virus protection solution to keep data and communications protected.
* Administrate, manage and implementing web filter.
* Plan, design, and implement networks for new projects.
* Configure Cisco switches and routers, Access list.
* Configure VLANS.
* Analyse LAN to determine what were the major problems and improvements needed to be made to the network infrastructure.
* Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and other business applications using Cisco works small network management solution (SNMS).
* Analyse and deliver easy-to-understand reports on in-depth traffic analysis and network bandwidth monitoring using net flow analyser professional.
* Perform IOS upgrades and backups.
* Troubleshoot internet connection.
* Configure and manage wireless connection "WIFI" signals.
* Monitor and Troubleshoot Data Storage.
* Configure and monitor UNIX system.
* Configure secure connection for remote access solution.
* Install and monitor Anti-virus protection solution to keep data and communications protected.
Qualifications, Certificates and Experience
* Bachelor educational degree in Computer Science or related field
* 1:3 years of experience in the same roles
* V. Good knowledge for the mentioned systems.
* Hand on experience in installing and configuring network equipment's, (Switches, Routers) including IOS upgrading where required and applying network security configurations.
* Knowledge of administrating wireless connectivity to monitor Pre-WiMAX, WIFI outdoor and indoor connections.
* Familiar with network monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds
* Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure
* Knowledge of troubleshooting network devices, active components, and fibre connection.
* Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
