Chef de Cuisine
The Chef de Cuisine report to the Executive Sous Chef and is responsible for
managing the day-to-day running of the Cold kitchen in the Hotel. The
management of food costs and production control are important to reduce
wastage in addition to the culinary training that the Chef de Cuisine provides
for all kitchen employees on a daily basis.
We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of food and are
passionate to develop the kitchen team skills, have creativity and flair and
the ability to provide guidance to others, and are able to evidence good
business acumen and a strong work ethic. Responsible for Plan, organize,
control and direct the work of employees in the Cold Kitchen section,
responsible for food preparation while ensuring superior quality and
consistency.
Our Ideal Chef de Cuisine will have:
At least 2-5 years previous experience in a similar role.
Working advanced culinary and division operations knowledge.
Ability to operate and utilize culinary tools, computer equipment and other
food & beverage computer systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Passion for teaching and skill at identifying and cultivating talent within
the department.
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Work Authorization
