In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales, gross profit, sales
expenses, and market share targets within the assigned region in accordance
with the SBU business plan.
In addition, you will be responsible for leading, training, coaching, and
developing Sales teams including area managers and service representatives in
the assigned sales district. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of
sales and service activities, identification and generation of sales leads,
proposal coordination, customer contact and sales closure for assigned
district. You will also be accountable for any reporting and reviews in
regards to your sales districts.

What You Will Do:
* Achieve annual sales & business targets for the assigned sales districts by working with district sales personnel, and Corporate Account Managers to establish selling strategies and tactics.
* Responsible for the sales and technical service of all group products within the district. Subdivide the district into sales territories, determines size of each territory, and assigns District Representatives and/or Service Representatives to effectively meet sales goals and maintain and increase business.
* Coordinate the execution of District sales strategies and goals. Establish sales targets for each district salesperson in accordance with District targets. Prepare periodic reports and regularly updates database showing sales volume, potential sales and status of active pursuits.
* Through joint calls with salespeople, market research, cold calls, customer contact and other means, identify the sales opportunities for assigned district. Monitor the competition and reports actions and trends to management.
* Establish close customer contact to determine customer needs and position the Company to satisfy those needs. Generate high levels of continuous customer satisfaction by assuring compliance and quality in the application of the Six Service Standards
* Develop sales and service personnel by conducting the annual performance plan process, quarterly coaching trips with documented 90-day goals, informal coaching, and training as required to assure appropriate skills and knowledge for district personnel.
* Develop sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits. Coach sales personnel in proposal development by identifying proposal themes and "selling points" and preparing various components such as executive summaries.
* Work with Sales Representatives to influence, read, and / or respond to RFPs and Specifications received from customers and prospects and prepare sales input into bid, no-bid decision in support of companies' overall sales and profitability objectives. Involve Strategic Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and Key Industry Marketers as appropriate.
* Responsible for the recruiting process to assure appropriate levels of sales and service coverage within the district.
* Responsible for all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of assigned company vehicle. Responsible for reading and complying with Nalco policies on Safety, HAZMAT, Product Stewardship and shipping of analytical samples. Complies with all local safety regulations. Ensures field sales organization is properly trained and complies with all company and local safety policies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong leadership and coaching interests and abilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Track record of outstanding sales performance for 3 to 8 years
* BA / BS in a science or technical specialty
* Requires individual with extensive sales and/or marketing experience. In-depth knowledge of Company products/applications/systems offered.
* Good working knowledge of Business English
* Ability and willingness to travel as per business need
Preferred Qualifications :
* Experience specific to Water Treatment industry
* Experience managing others either directly or indirectly
* Customer service orientation
* Good technical background and understanding of Customer's manufacturing processes
* Adequate chemical background to properly position Ecolab's divisional offerings.
* Speaks Customer's local language
