The opportunity
Project: Mace have been shortlisted to bid for one of several delivery partner
roles for a major project, this is a transformational project that will be
built in Riyadh, will be responsible for developing and hosting future
international events, such as stadium, elite sports centre & wellness, nature
& environment, parks & attractions, motion & mobility, and arts & culture,
this will also include Mid-scale hotel, multiplex cinema, residential, retail
& commercial, public car parking and public realm. The model is unique and
different to that previously experienced in the middle east region. This major
project is seeking high-calibre experienced candidates, who will lead
integrated teams that will manage each phase of the project through the
project lifecycles.
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking utility services director to
join our established and growing team in KSA.
The role is ultimate accountable to the successful delivery of the programme.
The role will be providing a regional level reporting against programme. To
provide vision, leadership and strategic direction for the programme.Zone
utility services director (Uptown South Cliff) to sit across city uptown
district.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing precinct 1,2A, 2B, 3 - stadium, elite sports centre, indoor sports arena, E-Games arena, which includes up-scale hotel, gondola station (Structure), metro station (Structure), residential, retail & commercial, public car parking, town square & public realm etc.
* Planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the infrastructure sectors such as utilities, Water, Wastewater, Sanitation and monitor the delivery of public utility infrastructure
* Having knowledge in planning, operations, construction practices and materials used in design, engineering and configuration of water, wastewater, sanitation etc.
* Having knowledge in public realm and understanding of pumps, meters, valves, lift stations as well as all testing, reporting required by regulatory bodies necessary for effective and efficient systems.
* Preparing a variety of reports related to utilities activities.
* Delivering the strategy of the programme through creation of the right interfaces and interactions
* Ensuring adequate and appropriate resources for the programme.
* Ensuring effective communication through the programme and through good stakeholder management.
* Facilitating the translation of strategy into planning and delivery across the programme.
* Ensuring appropriate, accurate financial management and control for all projects.
* Complying with all protocols, policies and procedures in relation to all staff related matters.
* Promoting continuously and making an influence of a positive safety culture.
* Providing a coherent report performance against the plan to the client and regional management.
* Acting as the public face of the programme to external stakeholders.
* Chairing executive steering group meetings.
* Providing leadership to balance value, quality, time and cost drives in order to optimise the programme.
* Directing, inspiring, motivating and encouraging a high performing team environment.
About you
You have a relevant degree qualification, masters preferred. You will take
personal development seriously and be chartered or pursuing a similar level of
professional qualification. You have proven experience in developing and
leading teams of people to accomplish public utility.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead
strong, motivated teams. You must have experience of programme or project
management equating quality and value with individual client and be hungry to
