Job Overview
The Project Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of
multiple concurrent projects within a Program. The Project Director will be a
single point of contact for clients and other stakeholders pertaining to all
projects within the Program.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Plan and design the Program to coordinate and optimize the dependencies and the interfaces between individual projects
* Develop the Program governance (rules, processes, metrics, controls, etc.) to ensure quality and overall integrity of the Program
* Monitor and manage the Program 's progress, schedule, risk, budget, and resources; resolve program issues; and initiate appropriate corrective action
* Assign staff to individual project teams and optimize allocation of common resources and skills among projects
* Manage third party contributions and stakeholder communication for the Program as a whole, including routine Program status updates to stakeholders
* Business Development, including preparing tender documents
Key Competencies
* Experience managing large, complex multidisciplinary projects
* Exemplary client management and communication skills
* Strong leadership and organizational skills
* Fluent in English (written and oral)
Educational Background:
* Bachelor 's degree in an environmental discipline (environmental engineering, environmental science, geotechnical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, ecology, toxicology, etc.)
Registrations/Certifications required
* PMP certification (or equivalent project management certification and skills)
