Position Title: Specialist: Employee Relations

2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The role holder is responsible for accurate and timely processing of employee
discipline, grievances and investigations, contract renewals, medical
insurance administration, leave administration, unauthorized absence for the
assigned employees in line with established policies and standard operating
procedures. The responsibility also includes maintaining accurate records and
control reports.

1. Review employee discipline requests from business units and support their
management in determining the appropriate discipline action in accordance to
the Saudi Labor Laws and the company Policies and Procedures.
2. Review employee grievances and support the business units' management in
discussions with the employee and reaching an appropriate and satisfactory
settlement in accordance to the Saudi Labor Laws and the company Policies and
Procedures.
3. Manage employee investigations and prepare final investigation reports in
accordance to the Saudi Labor Laws and company policies and Procedures.
4. Manage signing of employment contracts for new employees and renewal of
contracts
5. Manage issuance of medical insurance (including adding of dependents,
replacement of lost cards, corrections and cancelations) for all entitled
employees in accordance to Saudi Laws and company policies and procedures.
6. Review and approve special paid leave requests (e.g. marriage, paternity
leaves…etc.)
7. Review and approve unpaid leave requests in accordance with the company
policies and procedures.
8. Maintain and up to date employee relations records for all employees
9. Resolve issues related to employee relations activities, if any, and
escalate any unresolved issues to Employee Relations Head
10. Ensure that employees are notified of the rejected employee relations
requests along with the appropriate reason for request rejection
11. Assist in implementing and maintaining systems, policies and procedures
related to Employee Relations to ensure adherence to company guidelines in
addition to all policies and procedures that the Specialist's superiors may
see fit and applicable for the Employee Relations operations
12. Contribute to preparation of Employee Relations related reports for the
management, auditors, etc. as per the directions of the Employee Relations
Head
13. Perform any additional responsibilities passed on by Employee Relations
Head as required

goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement
5. Contribute to innovation within the Employee Relations function, thereby
continually enhancing quality and reducing cost by streamlining processes,
procedures and automation
6. Define performance goals at the start of the year in coordination with
Employee Relations Head
7. Monitor work quality and escalate any operational issues in a timely
manner
8. Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current
issues through continued education and professional growth

other service providers (all stakeholders) to ensure effective stakeholder
relationships
