Job Description

• Maintains and administers the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO ‎45001 and ISO ‎14001 Standards, and ensures that all audit principles and policies are followed in line with operating systems and controls.


• Conducts internal audits regularly and assists in ensuring that processes needed for the IMS and SQAS are consistently established, implemented and maintained.


• Proactively monitors the operations of the site and conducts periodic inspections, identifies and implements improvements.


• Ensures departmental compliance in relation to local regulations and company certification standards.


• Adheres to operations training programs for the business unit, and strives to ensure that safe working practices are followed by all staff.


• Conducts Safety Committee Meeting, safety inductions for all new employees and third parties, periodic refresher training, and pro-active communication of safety topics and alerts through multiple channels, as needed.


• Produces the necessary QHSE periodic reports and distributes them accordingly.


• Assists in documenting and managing skill assessments/matrix for all designations within the operations team.


• Keeps up to date with new legislation and maintains a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.


• Assist in conducting accident investigations and implements corrective / preventative actions with the appropriate parties.


• Creates and periodically reviews operational risk assessments and safe systems of work.


• Liaises with HR & Traffic Police to arrange licenses for plant operators when required.


• Responsible for the periodic inspection of operational assets including firefighting equipment, first aid provisions, lifting gear, and emergency alarms.


• Advises on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases.


• Assists in ensuring readiness pertinent to emergency response plans and running periodic mock drills.


• Coordinates within the department for managing and organizing the safe disposal of hazardous substances for all terminals.

Desired Candidate Profile

Formal qualification
* Nebosh IGC Certified
* HABC Level ‎3 Train the Trainer Qualified
* Nebosh Accident Investigation Course
* Professional working knowledge of KSA legal requirements, especially safety regulations relating to the Transport and Logistics industry.

Behavioral Aspects
* Confident about ensuring a safe workplace with improved operational efficiency
* Sound knowledge of operational aspects of the Transport department, with the ability to deliver training sessions to Drivers within the KSA region.
