Aviation Security Junior Manager
Based in Abu Dhabi

Purpose of the position:

The Security Specialist is an employee of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi responsible for
aviation and facility security, security compliance monitoring matters as well
as communications with UAE aviation and governmental agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective security liaison with Civil Aviation Authority of UAE, countries of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi (WAD) destinations, , law enforcement , government agencies and airport authorities;


• Supporting the aviation security and crisis management system.


• Coordination and cooperation with the concerned authorities.


• Implement emergency response plans if needed.


• Recording and analysing any observations that violate international and national standards.


• Implement operational procedures to ensure business continuity.


• Develop policies and procedures in line with international and national regulations and requirements aimed at the security of operational processes.


• Processing of emergency calls, and initiation of the required procedures based on the nature of the call.


• Monitor the security portal, forward any operation relevant information to management.


• Participating in risk and threat analysis, threat assessment and response capability.


• Participating in investigations on security-related matters.


• Revising the Emergency Response Plan for alignment


• Ensure that this person is trained and qualified in the ERP and the role of the CMC/ERC Manager


• Ensure that this person is assigned the role of CMC/ERC Manager or Director as applicable to ensure compliance with the SD.


• Participate in Group risk and threat analysis, threat assessment and response capability. Prepare timely periodic reports regarding local threats to WAD operations;


• Prepare and coordinate with line management local security procedures, relevant to specific fields of operations and/or processes;


• Report all actual or suspected acts of unlawful interference with aircraft operations to the appropriate authority;


• Analyze security-related reports from WAD departments on security-related matters and taking appropriate actions in coordination with line management.

Requirements:
* Completed university or college degree is a must
* Basic ICAO / IATA security training
* Minimum ‎1 year of experience in aviation security
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Business mindset and ability to synthesize information into recommendations
* Good oral and written presentations skills
* Team work and strong interpersonal skills
* Fluent spoken / written English and Arabic
* Flexibility to travel as required.
* A self-motivated individual with demonstrated capacity for ownership, and responsibility
* Ability to work independently with strong drive towards exceeding the set goals

Working Conditions :

Work is performed both in office environments, outdoors, and will occasionally
be performed at dangerous work areas (including but not limited to airside
territories of airports, hangars, maintenance warehouses, on board of
aircrafts, IT server rooms …). Employee may occasionally for shorter periods
be exposed to chemicals/hazardous substances (toner ink, aviation fuel and
other fluids), working in front of a monitor, loud noise, heat, cold,
vibration, slips, trips and falls, electricity, sharp objects, machines at
work.
