Responsibilities:
The Geomechanics Domain Champion will provide geological/petrophysical support
to Drilling Services throughout Kuwait, act as the Interpretation & Evaluation
Services (IES) Drilling Services focal point for the Kuwait clients and assist
in growing businesses. You should possess a strong technical, petrophysical
and geomechanics background, skilled in Wireline and Drilling Services. Your
presence locally is mandatory for client contact, communication, and
interaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Timely operational and geomechanics evaluation studies and real time drilling application and interpretation in Kuwait.
* Responsible for Geomechanical technical support.
* Manage pre-drill geomechanics studies (Pore Pressure and Wellbore Stability) to determine safe operating mud weight window and highlight potential drilling hazards.
* Manage real-time decision support to the drilling team to maximize drilling efficiency and minimize risk while achieving the well objective.
* All other IES activities/duties in Kuwait as indicated by the IES Manager.
* Processing, Interpretation and Evaluation of Wireline and LWD logs, Geomechanics.
* Integrate the Geomechanics solutions with other domains within Drilling and Evaluation.
* Technical papers and presentations, internal mentoring.
* Wellsite technical assistance, Real time monitoring as needed.
* Positive rapport with Kuwait assets.
* Support Quality, Health, Safety and Environment. Safety Always - Rules to Live By.
* Build effective technical relationship with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to maintain and develop further businesses for Weatherford's various segments.
* Collaborate with customer petroleum engineering and R&D staff to provide integrated solutions to KOC.
* Works with supervisor to ensure projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Aid to increase the existing market revenue in the Geozone/Country assigned and identify potential opportunities.
* Incremental Weatherford technology revenue - through sell-up and pull-through.
* Identify, communicate, and offer maximum value of our technology in the Geozone/Country assigned.
* Regular client visits to understand their needs and understand the market.
* Capture client visits and opportunities in Salesforce.
* Ensure that all customers receive prompt follow-up on technical related issues.
* Participate in Lunch & Learn with clients in the technology.
* Knowledge sharing internally and continuous drive for improvement.
* Be proactive to complete the training on the technology assigned (Operations, QC, Software required for the interpretation, Sales training.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of ‎5+ Years' experience in the industry.
* Minimum of Bachelors degree in Geology/Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering.
* Advanced English language skills - both written and verbal communication.
* Can work independently.
* Basic knowledge in integrated Open Hole/Cased Hole and LWD (Logging While Drilling) geological/petrophysical evaluations.
* Able to trouble shoot to provide adequate solutions to the clients in the presence of inconclusive and at times contradictory data.
* Familiarity with Weatherford Product Line Services and Tools would be beneficial.
* Good knowledge of how operators' operational decision-making processes work.
* High degree of mobility, willing to relocate if necessary.
* Strong social skills, able to work in teams and share overall knowledge with the team.
