Lead Technician, Mechanical II

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Maintains, repairs and prioritized Plant equipment to ensure equipment is
productive at all time .

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Receives detailed and prioritized work/job orders from Foreman to repair or
maintain various pieces of mechanical equipment to ensure equipment operates
efficiently and effectively at all times.

Locks equipment out to always ensure a safe working environment.

Drains equipment of any residual fluids, chemicals, milled materials etc.
Ensures that all residue is drained off appropriately, to enable a clean and
safe working environment

Strips equipment to ascertain maintenance or repair requirements. Advises
foreman of spare parts requirements and receives parts. Reassembles and checks
equipment in terms of manufacturer's specifications

Removes lock to reactivate equipment. Liaises with Plant Operator to observe
and test-run equipment to ensure efficient operation

Carries our good housekeeping by ensuring area is left clean and tidy that no
tools are left lying around

Writes and submits reports to supervisor regarding predictive maintenance
requirements of equipment, tools and consumable requirements, etc

Carries out all activities in accordance with company safety procedures and
manufacturers' recommendations, ensuring that all precautions are taken to
isolate equipment prior to commencing work. Follows all safety instructions
and notices, and wears protective equipment at all times.

Participates in the training of Saudi National who may be assigned to his
unit.

Performs other similar or related duties as directed by his supervisor

Play a big role in decision making for equipment failure and act accordingly

Participate in Safe Work Instruction preparation and quality assurance of
completed work.

Able to segregate, maintain and order required tools for critical rotating
equipment

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Work closely with operators, maintenance planners, maintenance supervisors,
operation supervisors, warehouse personnel and EHSS coordinators.

Job relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):

Scope Works according to well-designed procedures, clearly set procedures
or craft standards. Work is subject to detailed checks at regular intervals.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualification: High Technical/Trade Schools/Some College
Experience: With 10years concrete maintenance experience in similar work
environment.
Skills: Mechanical Maintenance Theory & Practice - Troubleshooting &
implementing repair procedures - Good Oral and written communication
